This week, leading up to Father’s Day on Sunday 16th, marks the annual Men’s Health Week. Sponsored by the Men’s Health Forum, the aim is to raise awareness of often ignored male health issues. In 2013 the MHF are focusing on mental health issues in men which can often be underestimated and misunderstood. Their campaign is aimed at breaking the taboos that many men feel in admitting to mental health issues such as depression, impotence and acute stress.
We would encourage all men to take a few moments this week to have a look at the relevant section of the NHS Choices website and familiarise yourself with health issues affecting your age range. Knowledge of potential issues can go a long way.
